Macleod and others
Macleod is located in the south of Calgary, which is showing steady development lately in the Province of Alberta along the CPR train line. There are a limited number of the Japanese who live there and there is nothing worth commenting on in terms of enterprises or jobs centred around the Japanese. If any, there were the devil caves, as you know, which were long occupied by Chatarō’s wife and another woman, whose English name is Mona, making Macleod a well-known place among devils. However, the movement of devils next month is impossible to estimate based on this month’s situation. New situations emerge all of sudden based on their whims and they only make tentative plans for the maximum of the next one year. They do not come up with a long-term plan. So one cannot assume their situation next summer based on their situation in April this year. There will be movement of one or two people for sure.
Lately there was a person called Josie in Macleod. There was also Yoneda, who was running a western restaurant and getting his company Omiya do prostitution, which was their main business, but he finally gave his business over to someone in January this year. The name of his restaurant was called Macleod Restaurant and he was housing Tsuchino’s Ofuyu as his prostitute, making her work as a waitress on the surface. Sankichi Tsuchino was also hanging out at the restaurant and helping the business. By the way, the person who took over this restaurant is Shinpei Matsumoto from Cranbrook and his wife Oshige, who ran for the new business. Sankichi Tsuchino and Ofuyu were temporarily retrieved in Cranbrook but they recently returned to Macleod.
Now, Mona is an actual sister of Nishi, a devil who was previously working at a mill in Vancouver. She had a Chinese pimp and made him run a western restaurant, but she had conflicts with the Chinese man, which became a widespread rumor. However there is nothing special about their current situation. I leave it out, as listing all the complicated devil facts would displease the reader.
